I remember that gut wrenching finality of
ending a relationship.
Wandering around like a zombie,
every breathe you take hurting
more than the one before.
Sorry if that's you.
Just know that it really does pass.
Somehow, just when you think it can't
keep hurting this much any longer,
it starts to ease.
Like a point of surrender.
If your heart feels like some of it is missing,
then i'll send you some of mine.
Keep it, because even when yours has
remembered how big it can be,
it's nice to have a friend along with you.
