I farking well hate clowns. They absolutely kill me with their stupid make up and ridiculous hair. I am yet to discover exactly what it is they do that is remotely funny.
Then, i find clown porn. Like that's gonna make it any better? They are still stupid and even in a porn movie which i am certainly not averse too, it doesn't make any sense to me.
So thank god for the stop clown porn now organisation.
It should actually be about stopping cruelty to the viewer, which can only be a good thing, surely?
So do us all a favour, and say "NO" to clown porn. You'll be doing the world a favour.

As someone who worked as a clown for 20 years, Monkeypants, I gotta say I'm sorry you have never found clowns funny, and you obviously feel they are out of place when it comes to erotica. I assure you, though, that not all women share your views.
I've often wondered why it was that some women seemed attracted to the clown image -at least, to the one I projected. I always went for a minimalist kind of makeup -and no fake nose- so I guess "the man" was still visible beneath the mask. One woman did tell me: "for fuck's sake take that makeup off, you're making me feel like a lesbian."
Clowns (good ones) exploit many ambiguities: they are adult and child; they are foolish but skillful; they are (mostly) men but they wear makeup. Perhaps it is this gender ambiguity that can lead to erotic responses in certain types of audience?
Overall I agree with you though: clowns and porn don't mix.

Hi vic, thanks for your feedback. I guess on a serious note, i like slapstick,i like athleticism, i like practical jokes but they don't fit together for me in the clown genre - i think too when you are a small child a full makeup faced clown can be kinda scary. Working without the makeup would have been a marked improvement in my book. i respect anyone who works as a performer - it's a tough job working a crowd.
The lesbian comment is gold.
After watching bad santa i'm sure there are lots of clown fantasising ladeeeez out there. However after reading several of your comments on other blogs i would imagine that your wit and smarts was a big part of the pulling power you possess. Glad you like the blog and i hope you hang around - clown nose or not. MP:)
